Tammy Westergard
Assistant Administrator for Library & Development Services

The Nevada Center for the Book, a program of the Nevada State Library & Archives, is an affiliate of the Library of Congress Center for the Book.  The Nevada Center for the Book highlights Nevada's literary heritage and supports the efforts of non-profit state, county, and local literacy improvement programs for Nevadans, including libraries, Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language, and statewide reading programs.  The Center's literacy services take a highly collaborative approach to accomplishing its goals, recognizing the importance of state and local partners in attaining those goals and objectives.

    Nevada Literary Map

The Nevada Literary Map is a compilation of over 490 Nevada writers, authors, poets, cowboy poets, artists, fur traders, explorers, journalists, bloggers, cartoonists, cartographers, newspapermen, photographers and others. Many of the published titles identified on the map are available through the Nevada State Library, Archives & Public Records (NSLAPR) Nevada Collection. This NSLAPR Center for the Book project is funded with monies from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) through the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
