Behavior Policy

Our goal is to provide courteous, effective service to everyone. The purpose of this brief policy is to ensure a safe, comfortable, friendly environment for all. Staff is responsible for protecting the safety of people within NSLA facilities and maintaining order without risk to persons or property. Disturbances, threats to the comfort or well being, or interference with the rights of others will not be allowed.

Interlibrary Loan Policy

The Nevada State Library and Archives (NSLA) borrows items through the national OCLC systems exclusively for Nevada governments and their employees. Public libraries in the area provide ILL borrowning services to the public.

Internet Use Policy

The Nevada State Library and Archives (NSLA) is committed to public access to information created by the federal, state and local governments. The "Righ to Know" is the cornerstone of government accountability and informed public participation. NSLA is a partner in the Nevada "One Click Away" Project which provides Nevadans with enhanced access to online information and resources critical to their individual success and Nevada's economic recovery.

Reference Policy

The Nevada State Library and Archives (NSLA) provides information about holdings to visitors and users of the library catalog. This information includes access to information resources on the NSLA website, licensed online databases, and the online catalog. NSLA also provides information from the Library's collection as well as answering questions from the collection including brief, factual answers pertaining to Nevada related subjects.
