CensusScope - CensusScope is an easy-to-use tool for investigating U.S. demographic trends by the Social Science Data Analysis Network (SSDAN) at the University of Michigan. With eye-catching graphics and exportable trend data, CensusScope is designed for both generalists and specialists.
 
Integrated Public Microdata Use Series - IPUMS is one of the all-time great sites for serious demographic / historical research. IPUMS is a part of the Minnesota Population Center at the University of Minnesota and provides census and survey data from around the world integrated across time and space. In collaboration with 105 national statistical agencies, nine national archives, and three genealogical organizations, IPUMS has created the world’s largest accessible database of census microdata. 
 
Kaiser Family Foundation State Health Facts - data contains more than 800 health indicators and provides users with the ability to map, rank, trend, and download data. Data come from a variety of public and private sources, including Kaiser Family Foundation reports, public websites, government surveys and reports, and private organizations.
 
Missouri Census Data Center - offers processed census data for every state in the country in addition to Missouri
NHGIS (National Historical Geographic Information System) at the University of Minnesota features aggregate census data covering over two centuries (1790 to 2000). The site includes access to shape files that can be used to map the data. 
 
Social Explorer from the City University of New York, provides "easy access to demographic information about the United States, from 1940 to 2010." Maps and reports. This is a subscription service which is not cheap. They offer a 30-day free trial version.
 
Stateline - is an editorially independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit news service of the Pew Charitable Trusts providing daily reporting and analysis on trends in state policy. The newsletter is updated daily with news articles on Nevada, links to Nevada statistics and comparisons to other states.
