Borrowing & Lending (ILL): Home

The Nevada State Library, Archives, and Public Records (NSLAPR) offers three different Borrowing and Lending programs (i.e., Interlibrary Loan) which allows libraries to loan materials to each other.

A valid Nevada Library card is required to request items. To apply for a library card visit the Nevada Library Co-Op. Residents of Clark, Douglas, and Washoe counties should visit your county library website.

Before requesting an item, please read our Borrowing Policy.

All Nevadans with an active public library card are registered and can borrow from the state library. Please register here.
Please note: You will be unable to access our services or check out materials until a state library employee verifies your address and information with a picture ID or recent bill.

Requested materials may be picked up at the Nevada State Library or any Nevada Library Co-Op member of your choosing. Note: For Clark, Douglas, and Washoe county cardholders, call us for pick-up options (775) 684-3360.

As a member of the Information Nevada interlibrary loan system, the Nevada State Library, Archives, and Public Records submits OCLC requests for Nevada public libraries. This service is limited to five requests per public library district, per month. Each library district is responsible for establishing its own borrowing policy, while adhering to this limitation.
