The Family Reading Program (FRP) is an adult/child early literacy project by the NSLAPR and NNLC through LSTA funding and a grant from the United Way of Nevada and the Sierra. The FRP works with children and parents to improve literacy and model good family literacy behaviors for the home. By working with families, the FRP will build strong literacy-related habits that will achieve the goal of doubling the number of children who read proficiently after the third grade.
