Public
Resources
The State Library provides access to resources for all Nevadans. We have a Nevada-centric collection, meaning that many of our books and digital resources pertain to the history, laws and resources of the state. We are also pleased to provide a large collection of state and federal publications. The State Library is the depository for official publications generated by the Nevada State printing press.
We provide research guidance for our collection, including our vast collection of microfilmed newspapers. If we do not have what you need, we will do our best to find out who does. We are happy to send you to the State Archives (located just upstairs from the Library) or help you find the resources you need in an external collection.
In addition to a wide range of non-fiction titles, we also provide works of fiction involving Nevada or by Nevada authors. We have 5 public computers and 3 microfilm stations for public use and free WiFi access in both the library and the foyer of our building.
