The Board is responsible for the enforcement of the laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of environmental health in Nevada. The Board registers qualified environmental health specialists and environmental health specialist trainees, and regulates the professional practice of environmental health throughout the State.
Environmental Health Professionals are leaders in the prevention of human injury and illness from hazardous physical, chemical and biological agents in air, water, soil, food and other environments affecting public safety and welfare.
The Board of Environmental Health Specialists is one of the boards under the Department of Business and Industry.
