The BARD program is the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled's free digital book download service. Digital books, digital magazine titles, music books and scores, and braille books are available in BARD with new items added daily. You can use BARD to listen to books on your phone or tablet by downloading the free BARD Mobile app, or you can use your personal computer to download books from the BARD website or through BARD Express. You can then load these books onto a thumb drive and play them on a digital talking book player. If you would prefer you can now listen to your books on your computer using the BARD Express Player.
To qualify for BARD, one must first have an active Nevada Talking Book Services account, be in good standing, have an e-mail address, and a high-speed Internet connection. Downloading books or magazines from BARD also requires some computer expertise.
