Visit the Archives

The Nevada State Archives is located on the upper floor of the State Library & Archives building at the Capitol Complex at 100 N. Stewart Street in Carson City.

The research room is open to the public Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, excluding State Holidays 

No appointments are needed from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To make an appointment Monday through Friday before 10:00 AM or after 2:00 PM, please call 775-684-3310.

  • We welcome all visitors. Please notify us in advance of any accommodations required for persons in your group.
  • To safeguard important materials, food and drink are restricted to the lobby or meeting rooms.

Parking

Free parking is available north of the Nevada State Library, Archives & Public Records on East Musser Street, and east of the Nevada Supreme Court building on South Stewart Street.  A free parking garage is also available on the corner of 5th and South Stewart Streets.

The accessible entrance for those living with handicaps is on the east side of the building, notated by the letter H on the map.
