Description

The Nevada Applied Behavior Analysis Board (NV ABA Board) is responsible for the administration and enforcement, licensing and registration, and disciplinary and other actions in the practice of applied behavior analysis within the State of Nevada as it relates to behavior analysts, assistant behavior analysts, and registered behavior technicians.

Historically, the Aging and Disability Services Division, under authority of NRS 437, operated the Applied Behavior Analysis Board from January 1, 2019 through September 30, 2021. The creation of this Board was the result of the Senate Bill 286 that was introduced in the 79th Legislative Session. Currently, the Nevada Applied Behavior Analysis Board, under authority of NRS 641D, is operating as an independent entity beginning October 1, 2021. This change was a result of Senate Bill 217 that was introduced in the 81st Legislative Session.

The Nevada Applied Behavior Analysis Board is one of the boards under the Department of Business and Industry.
