Description

The mission of the Nevada Division of Water Resources (NDWR) is to responsibly manage Nevada's limited water resources in accordance with State law and the best available science. They are dedicated to actively managing water resources for the benefit of Nevada citizens in a way that protects the resource for long-term sustainability, and to provide the public access to information.

Water Rights Section of NDWR is responsible for a broad range of duties related to the management and administration of water rights within the state: application review and approval for new appropriations and changes to existing rights, evaluating and responding to  protests of applications, subdivision water quantity approval, evaluating domestic well credits and relinquishments, issuing certificates for permitted water rights, conducting field investigations with on-site inspections, and processing requests for extensions of time for filing proofs of completion and proofs of beneficial use. . 

The Nevada Division of Water Resources consistently manages and maintains various databases accessible to the public, allowing access to electronic records. The databases include Hydrologic Monitoring (with forms that can be access to submit your own data), Hydrologic Models, Meters Database, Water Use Inventories, and Well Driller's Reports.
