1870 Archibald Skillman and Dr. L. C. McKenney began the Eureka Sentinel,
1871 Expanded to become the Eureka Daily Sentinel,
1871 Fred Elliott and George W. Cassidy, 
1872 George W. Cassidy and John H. Dennis (of the Reese River Reveille), 
1876 George W. Cassidy and Archibald Skillman who had been with the White Pine News in the interim, 
1879 A weekly, the Eureka Weekly Sentinel, was added to the daily and ran concurrently until the daily was suspended in 1887,
1893 Archibald Skillman became sole proprietor at the time of Cassidy's death,
1900 Ed A. Skillman after his father's death, who ran the paper for the next forty years,
1902 became the Eureka Sentinel,
