A-Z Resource List How-to-Guide

Publishing Your New A-Z Resource List

You can "Publish" your A-Z Resource List as soon as you have added assets to your list. You do not necessarily have to be done with drafting your resource list.

On the Lists page, for your list, use the hamburger menu (three stacked dots) to choose View. This will open to a page of the basic information about your A-Z list. In the top right corner there are several buttons, click on the Publish button.Options in the View screen

This will bring up a box with the URL that links to your resource list. Copy the URL before confirming that it is to be published by clicking on the last Publish button.

Use the highlighted blue Friendly URL it has created to share with other staff or to use as a Direct URL for a LibGuides page. If you do not immediately link the URL to a LibGuides page, it will essentially be an "internal" A-Z list. Unless one of your assets is pulled through a browser/Google search, patrons would not have an access point to reach the list from anywhere on the NSLAPR website.

If you are unsure how to link the A-Z resource list, please contact the Digital Services Librarian for assistance.

If you don't copy the URL at the time of publication, return to the View menu option to find the list's URL at the top of the page.
