The Nevada State Library Newspaper Collection includes historical newspapers as well as current newspaper publications. Historical newspapers are available on microfilm in the library and electronically by accessing the library's databases. Current newspapers are available in print in the library and online. A sampling of the databases that the library subscribes to are below. These databases are all available remotely with a Nevada State Library card. If you do not have one, you can apply online.

- Historical Newspapers: Nevada Collection - Historical Nevada newspaper collection that empowers researches to digitally travel back through the centuries to become eyewitnesses to local and regional history. Each title includes the complete paper, cover-to-cover, with full-page images in an easily downloadable PDF format
- Las Vegas Review-Journal Collection - Las Vegas Review-Journal text, 1996-2023 (usually same day)
- Nevada State News - Multiple news sources from around the state of Nevada, including local, regional, and independent newspapers, as well as transcripts from local TV-stations and web-based news sites and blogs
- Reno Gazette-Journal - Current stories from the Reno Gazette-Journal starting on October 1, 1999
