1870 C. L. Perkins and H. C. Street purchased the paper and changed the title to the Daily State Register,
September 1872 Henry R. Mighels started the New Daily Appeal,
December 1872 Henry R. Mighels and Marshall Robinson bought out the Daily State Register and combined it with the New Daily Appeal,
1873 Mighels and Robinson renamed the paper the Carson Daily Appeal,
1877 the paper's name was changed to the Morning Appeal,
