The Statewide Masterplan for Nevada Libraries, 2017-2021 will provide direction and serves as a blueprint for development of library services throughout the state. The plan will reflect the best thinking of public, school, academic and special library staff.
Formed in 1965 through a declaration by the Nevada legislature, the State Council on Libraries and Literacy (SCLL) serves in an advisory capacity to the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.
The Nevada Library Association is an organization of library and information professionals, staff, and trustees championing library resources, services, development, and issues in Nevada.
Community leaders from a wide range of sectors including education, arts, business, faith, social services, and Friends of the Libraries provided vital feedback about how the library system can help these leading organizations meet their community goals.
