COVID-19 Guide

About

On the first three Tuesdays in July, August and September, the mental wellness theme will be led by a subject-matter expert and/or mental health professional  to include a 10-15 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute question and answer session. These webinar ‘shorts’ and the Q & A are saved herein. For each recorded webinar, additional resources will be available and titled “From the Expert," including two articles for further reading and a discussion guide designed to help you facilitate key points with your teams and/or families an absorb best practices to promote well-being and greater ease.

These webinars shorts will run through September, with a different theme for each month. Check in weekly to see what is available – then take the opportunity to host your own discussion using these valuable tools.

  • July: Dealing with an anxious public (for everyone)
  • August: Helping patrons deal with job loss, building new skills, re-directing mindsets
  • September: Helping students deal with going back to school and new models of learning staff

As we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re living life differently and learning as we go. Mental wellness is a top priority and the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records has convened subject matter experts and clinicians for an online live webinar series and Q & A. Ultimately this robust archive will contain 9 short videos, under three main themes, and each video has accompanying additional resources!  Anyone can then use these short lessons within their own organizations or even at home with the family.  This way, the value of the information will multiply.
