Mini Grants Overview

• Applications available: March 2023
• Funding Level: up to $10,000 total per library jurisdiction (not branch)
  • Libraries may apply for multiple mini grants as long as the aggregate mini grant total for Federal Year 2023 is not more than $10,000.
• Total Available Funding:  ~$100,000; funding based on 2023 federal award
• Funding Period:
  • Cycle 1: July 1, 2023-August 31, 2024
  • Cycle 2: January 1, 2024-August 31, 2024 (funds permitting)
• Funding Priorities:  
  1. Capacity and Sustainability
  2. Outreach and Partnerships
  3. Programs and Services
• Who may apply: Eligible Nevada Libraries.

• Project requirements: 
  • Projects must advance Nevada LSTA Goals as outlined in the Nevada LSTA 5-year plan, 2023-2027
  • Projects must conform with 2 CFR 200, the Code of Federal Regulations for Grants and Agreements. See: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-2/subtitle-A/chapter-II/part-200?toc=1 

How to participate:

1. Read the Preapplication Guideline thoroughly.
2. View the 2023 LSTA Application webinar recording posted here: https://nsla.nv.gov/2023LSTA/webinars
3. Submit Mini Grant applications through the online Grants Portal: https://nslapr.force.com/portal 
   • Cycle 1 application deadline: May 15, 2023
   • Cycle 2 application deadline: November 15, 2023 (funds permitting)
4. Award notifications and funding recommendations will be sent to applicants in June 2023/December 2023.
   • Prior to finalization of the award, successful applicants must: 
     • Respond to funding recommendations.
     • Submit a complete set of Required Signature Documents.
